A wide range of businesses make emissions to air, land and water as part of their routine activity. These emissions are controlled by strict regulations designed to protect the environment and public health. The MCERTS scheme is the Environment Agency's Monitoring Certification Scheme for emissions to the environment. 

MCERTS is awarded to people, instruments and laboratories who meet the requirements of the the scheme, providing assurance to the customer of the quality of the supplier. If you select an MCERTS approved supplier, then the Environment Agency can have confidence in your monitoring of emissions to the environment.

We are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 for the Environment Agency MCERTS Performance Standard for organisations undertaking sampling and chemical testing of Water (Version 1.1) for Manual spot sampling of final sewage effluent and Manual spot sampling of untreated sewage effluent.
