Bjorn Nielsen, Principal Scientist at ALS is speaking at a free online webinar hosted by the Royal Society for Public Health covering a back-to-basics summary of Legionella and the importance of the methods used to detect it. The webinar will touch on the origins of legionnaires disease and why it is a problem, plus some UK and international guidance around its control. The webinar will then discuss in more detail the methods used for detecting legionella in water systems, what the results and outcomes of these methods may mean, and what to consider when selecting appropriate testing.
