Microbiology Trends: Past, Present & Future - February 2016
Jan 14, 2016
The landscape of Microbiological testing is changing, with more rapid techniques on the market and in use than ever before. To help customers understand these advances ALS Environmental will be holding a conference at our Coventry Laboratory on Friday 19th February 2016, entitled; "Microbiology Trends: Past, Present & Future".
Unlike most other conferences the day will be split between presentation and practical demonstrations of the laboratory techniques.
The morning of the event will be a range of presentations on the latest advances in PCR, Quality and laboratory automation. The afternoon will allow delegates the opportunity to see demonstrations of a range of methods including MALDI-ToF, PCR and Flow Cytometery; with the latter being used to enumerate TVC counts in minutes as opposed to the traditional days.
Upon launching the event, Pervinder Johal ALS Environmental's Operations Manager and lead microbiologist for the Coventry laboratory, comments:
Over the past two-years there have been a range of new methods and analytical approaches that have come onto the market, for MALDI-ToF to enhanced PCR techniques. Our Microbiology Trends: Past, Present, Future event is designed to give customers an opportunity to see the techniques and to ask questions of the analysts who routinely undertake the analysis of their samples.
