ALS Environmental are delighted to announce that we have extended our relationship with the Legionella Control Association (LCA). The LCA is a voluntary organisation whose membership comprises providers of services and products concerned with the control of legionella bacteria in water systems. The primary aim is to keep water systems safe and minimise the risk of cases of Legionnaires' disease caused by poorly maintained systems.

Since its inception in 1999 the LCA has grown to have over 300 certified members ranging from laboratories, Water Treatment companies, Health and Safety consultants and Training providers. ALS Environmental have been members of the LCA for over a decade; providing analytical services to some of the largest Water Treatment companies across the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland.

ALS Environmental provide instant and informative analytical data to all Legionella clients by utilising our confirmation technique known as MALDI-ToF. This approach has both UKAS and DWTS accreditation and removes the presumptive stage of the confirmation process meaning we report a full species identification on the standard Legionella read days of 3, 7 & 10. This comes as a standard offering at no extra charge to clients.
