ALS Present at British Mass Spectrometry Society
Sep 16, 2015
The British Mass Spectrometry Society (BMSS) will be holding their 36th Annual meeting at the University of Birmingham between the 15th and 17th September 2015 and ALS Environmental will be providing one of the presentations. The ALS Environmental presentation at the BMSS conference will be given by our Principal Scientist, John Quick , and is entitled "Determination of priority environmental pollutants in water treatment plant effluent: quantifying a drop (or two) in the ocean – depending on MS technique used".
More details on the BMSS event can be found here.
John, who is the author and presenter of the talk at the BMSS event, comments:
It is truly an honour to be asked to speak at the BMSS event in Birmingham, which provides a real opportunity for ALS to highlight the development work we have undertaken as part of the Chemical Investigation Programme 2 (CIP2).
The CIP2 programme has seen ALS develop market leading analytical techniques to reach challenging limits of detection in a range of complex sample matrices.
The ALS technical datasheet on CIP2 can be found here.
John will be providing his talk on priority pollutants at lunchtime on Wednesday 16th September in the Aston Webb Building. The CIP2 programme is being driven from by the Water Framework Directive and is a nationwide programme to compare the quality of surface waters and effluents across the UK.
More details on the full ALS CIP2 capability can be found here.
