ALS Life Sciences is committed to technical and methodological advancements and continuous improvement in our analytical services. Over recent months the ALS Land business in Hawarden has been undertaking a review of a range of organic analysis with a view to providing our clients with more robust and reliable analytical data.  

As part of this process ALS Hawarden will now be offering the BTEX and MTBE compounds previously reported in the Gasoline Range Organic (GRO) suite via GC-MS rather than GC-FID. This will help to generate an improvement in estimated uncertainty for analysis of these compounds as GC-MS utilises ion ratios in addition to retention times to provide a more conclusive identification of the compounds of interest.  

The switch will not impact any established prices and commercial rates, but will offer our clients with improved targeted analysis, lower detection limits, longer stability times and improved accreditation status. Please see the table below for a summary of the main changes which will be effective as of the 20^th July.
