Jul 28, 2016
ALS Environmental are pleased to announce that we have become Support Members of the Contaminated Land: Applications In Real Environments (CL:AIRE). The aim of CL:AIRE is to be a respected independent not-for-profit organisation. The group was established in 1999 to stimulate the regeneration of contaminated land in the UK by raising awareness of, and confidence in, practical and sustainable remediation technologies.

ALS Environmental have been involved in the analysis of Contaminated Land and Remediation projects for over 20 years, with our Soils laboratory in Coventry being home to a broad portfolio of market leading analytical techniques. Embedded in these methods is our ability to offer OnSite analytical tools and sampling support to our customers through the use of our Environmental Field Technicians and OnSite Analytical Tools.
Upon our membership to CL:AIRE, Andrew Horobin, ALS Environmental's Organics Chemistry Operations Manager, comments:
ALS Environmental have a long term commitment to developing our Contaminated Land offering. We are currently working on validating several revolutionary techniques that will change the way the market tests for a range of parameters using our state of the art instruments.
Since 1999, CL:AIRE has grown into an organisation that does more than just demonstrate remediation technologies “in real environments”. As the remediation industry has matured, CL:AIRE’s activities have broadened into many areas of sustainable land reuse. CL:AIRE supports a number of industry initiatives, for example, sustainable remediation. ALS Environmental have supported this development with the use of OnSite analytical tools on a range of major infrastructure projects. These tools enable rapid decisions to be made on analytical data that has a high correlation factor to UKAS & MCERTS accredited laboratory data.
