The success of any business is down to its people. At ALS Environmental we operate a reward scheme for our employees called "Celebrating Success". The scheme aims to provide a mechanism to quickly and easily recognise, in a meaningful way, the extra efforts of employees thereby improving motivation and engagement.

Staff can be nominated by their colleagues or managers, Capital Bond vouchers are awarded in increments up to a value of £250, and there is no limit to the number of times an employee can be nominated for them.

The first quarters nominees at ALS Environmental have been duly recognised for their hard work and commitment to our customers, both internal and external The core values at the heart of ALS Group are:

The Celebrating Success awards are being considered for a broad range of activities including;

• ideas and self-motivated implementation of process improvements
• going the extra mile for an internal or external customer

Claire Cartwright, Senior Analyst, who was awarded for a Celebrating Success award for ‘Excellent customer service to an external customer’ explains how she felt when receiving the reward;

I had absolutely no idea I had been nominated for a Celebrating Success award so it was a real surprise to be presented with it at my team meeting. The customer was very grateful and had emailed to say thank you for the excellent service he had received from Darren Lewis and I when we helped a client with an analytical query. That in itself was very satisfying and then to receive a Celebrating Success award made me feel appreciated, that was the best thing for me but is was also very nice to receive the gift vouchers.

Grace Coiley, Coventry Operations Manager for the Coventry laboratory states;

Celebrating Success is proving to be a quick and easy way to reward people for outstanding contributions to their work area. It’s great to be able to thank people in this way for caring about their workplace and our customers.

We are keen that all of our staff are recognised for their hard-work, dedication and commitment to delivering excellent an customer experience when dealing with ALS as Group. In total there were 14 Celebrating Success awards in the Spring Quarter.
