Apr 27, 2017
ALS Environmental are proud to announce that we have become Founder Members of the Closed System Control Association (CSCA). This demonstrates our commitment to the Water Treatment sector and shows our support of the BSRIA and BSI Guidance around closed systems. The CSCA is a non-profit membership organisation for companies who actively support and demonstrate a sound approach to the control of water quality in closed systems.

The maintenance of water in Closed Circuit Heating/Cooling Systems is all too often a contentious subject, as fouling and corrosion problems are exacerbated by a number of factors both in the operation and in the supply and management of the water treatment particularly during the early life of such systems. ALS Environmental are able to assist members in the analysis of Water samples to help comply with BSRIA BG29 and BG50 Guidance.
To support closed system analysis ALS Environmental’ s process water laboratory in Coventry, West Midlands is able to offer a full range of chemical and microbiology analysis, including MALDI-ToF confirmations for all culture based microbiology. We hold a breadth of UKAS accreditation for these sample types and are able to provide a rapid service for urgent building commissions.
ALS Environmental are able to offer both 5 day and 21 day Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) analysis to help customers comply with the BSRIA guidance. We have a dedicated suite of analysis to ensure the correct Microbiology dilutions are applied to both Total Viable Count (TVC) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Upon becoming Founder Members of the CSCA James Bayly, ALS Environmental’s Business Development Manager for East Anglia and the South East, comments:
ALS Environmental and the recently acquired ALcontrol business both have a history in Closed System Monitoring. To become Founder Members of the CSCA demonstrates the commitment the company has made to the association and our long term commitment to helping raise the standards of service from the laboratory as a key service provider to this industry.
