As a mark of respect to the late Queen and to allow as many of our staff as possible to follow the Queen’s funeral, I am writing to confirm that ALS will be honouring the Bank Holiday next Monday.

In line with normal Bank Holiday arrangements, our laboratories at Coventry, Hawarden, Otterbourne and Wakefield will operate with a skeleton crew. However, all office functions including Client Services and our Accounts team in Coventry will not be working.

 

Like every business across the UK, we don’t have the same amount of time to plan for this unexpected Bank Holiday. However, a great many of our staff feel deeply saddened by the passing of the Queen and we therefore feel that it is important to give them the chance to pay their respects on what will be a genuinely historic and moving day.

 

In view of this, we would appreciate it if you could reduce the number of any incoming samples to an absolute minimum as we will not have staff available to process a ‘normal Monday’ volumes.
