Great News for ALS’ Coventry Site

ALS are exceptionally proud to base a laboratory, located in the city of Coventry. The city currently holds the prestigious title Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, this is a competition run by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. This title places the city on a national and international stage.
Coventry was awarded the title on the strength of the city’s diversity, it’s youthfulness and the opportunities due to being so centrally located. Diversity and inclusion are one of ALS’ many beliefs, we are always looking to recruit and develop individuals from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences, we offer apprenticeships such as Laboratory Technician positions, our staff are at the heart of all ALS operations.

The city is full of history and known for breakthroughs such as Britain's car industry - founded by Daimler, in a disused Coventry cotton mill in 1896.
Coventry Transport Museum has the biggest collection of British made cars, motorcycles and bicycles in the world.
The city has had three Cathedrals in the past 1000 years: the 12th century Priory Church of St Mary, destroyed by Henry VIII, the ruins of St. Michael's, blitzed in November 1940 and Sir Basil Spence's new cathedral which was recently voted Britain’s most popular 20th Century building.
Coventry hosts not one but two universities, Coventry University and the University of Warwick which is consistently ranked in the nation’s top 10 Universities. We are proud to have many employees who have graduated from local universities working with us.

The ALS Environmental site in Coventry has been operating for more than 30 years and is located right in the heart of the Midlands, allowing clients easy access for sample drop-off. This large site offers an extensive portfolio for water analysis on Microbiology and Chemistry, the laboratory caters for a high volume of sample turn over and has a robust production management model to ensure service delivery to our clients. We are also able to utilitise links with our sister laboratories around the globe to ensure to offer a complete solution for our client’s analytical requirements.
